Easily add 8 serial ports
Now you can easily (and economically) add 8 serial ports to your machine through one available USB port. This approach uses a single housing that contains both the USB hubs and USB to serial converters necessary to facilitate this conversion.

Because you probably can't draw enough power from a single USB port to power this many converters, this 8-port USB to serial adapters will come with an external power adapter.

Usually with multi-port USB to serials you will find the FTDI or Moschip chipsets - these are less expensive and easier to bundle than the common Prolific chipset that is so common in 1-port adapters.
